Rachel Arieff

PRESIDENT OF THE 2nd EDITION

“”Funny, biting, ironic and intelligently frivolous.”
 Playboy

Originally from the U.S.A., now a Spanish citizen, Rachel speaks Spanish, English, and Catalan and does stand-up comedy in all three languages. Each language inspires different themes, engages a different aspect of herself and has its own audience.

Rachel currently performs two hour-long Spanish-language stand-up comedy shows in Madrid: Anormala, a cabaret-style monologue, and Mi vida a la carta. She also has full-length show in Catalan, Catalunya triomfant.

VISION FOR THE 2ND EDITION

Our vision of comedy is not just as entertainment or self-expression, but also a tool to illuminate the truth, fight injustice, recognize unheard voices and push the culture forward. In this year’s festival we will meet comedians from over 20 countries, from different religions, cultures, sexual orientations and gender identities; as well as a show dedicated to Palestine, featuring Palestinians and anti-Zionist Jewish, Muslim and Christian voices.

Madrid Comedy Festival 2026

Where stand-up, satire and international voices converge. Under the presidency of Rachel Arieff, the second edition sets a new standard for comedy in Madrid.
