Madrid's international comedy festival.
Built by Comedians. For Everyone.
Madrid Comedy Festival was not built by a corporation. It was built by the comedians themselves. Performers and creatives who love this city and decided it deserved something real. So they built it from scratch. No big budget. No safety net. Just passion, talent, and a city that was ready.

How It Started
Madrid Comedy Festival was founded by Mehdi Mahtaj, a comedian, producer, and creative based in Madrid. The idea was simple. This city has an incredible comedy scene and it deserved a real international festival. So he built one. The first edition took place in October 2025. 23 sold-out shows. More than 50 comedians from over 20 countries performing in Spanish, English, French, Italian, and more across six venues in four days. People did not come once and leave. They came back night after night, brought their friends, and made it a real festival from day one. Now the second edition is here. October 1 to 4, 2026. More shows, more venues, more languages, more reach. The first edition sold out everything. The second one is going to go further.
Our Mission
Every voice is welcome on our stage and every language has a place here. MCF was built by the same people who perform every week in Madrid's bars and theaters. People who love this city, love comedy, and decided to build something real with their own hands. And every year it gets bigger. More shows, more comedians, more languages, more venues. The goal is simple. Make MCF the home of international comedy in Southern Europe.
