About the Festival
The Madrid Comedy Festival is an independent international comedy festival created by comedians who live in Madrid. The first edition (October 2025) sold out all six venues — 2,200 tickets, 50+ comedians from 20+ countries, five languages on stage, and 500,000 organic views on social media. No corporate backing. Built from scratch by people who do comedy for a living.
The second edition runs from 1 to 4 October 2026 across 8 venues in central Madrid. This year: 38 shows, 70 comedians, 8 languages, 25 nationalities. Godparents of this edition: Alberto Closas and Santiago Iturralde.
Founded by Mehdi Mahtaj.
