The second Madrid International Comedy Festival is over. The rooms are empty, the photos are online, and the team has finally slept. So the obvious question is: what comes next?
A third edition: 6 to 9 October 2027
The third edition is planned for 6–9 October 2027 in Madrid. We will announce the programme, venues and tickets later, once they are confirmed. We would rather tell you something true later than something wrong now.
What we want to keep
Some things should not change as the festival grows. The small rooms, where you sit a few metres from the comedian. The mix of languages, so people from different communities can all find a show for them. The relaxed, independent feel. And the idea that every voice is welcome on our stage.
Where we want to grow
Every year we want more shows, more comedians, more languages and more venues. Two editions in, we have shown that the audience is there and that comedians want to come to Madrid. The next step is to grow without losing what makes the festival special.
That means bringing more international names, working with more partners, and making the festival even easier to enjoy for people visiting from abroad. I wrote about the bigger picture in why the Madrid Comedy Festival could become one of Europe’s best.
